True Grit Tour – Level One of Program # 1
This foundation program of the “True Grit” educational tour is provided to you in three levels. This equine educational program involves horsemanship philosophy and fifteen steps of methodology of working in the round pen. This first level of the first program will connect and lead you the next seventeen programs of the “True Grit” educational tour.
Day One – (Nov 25/17)
Session One
Russ Krachun will demonstrate each of the first five steps of Kozak Horsemanship philosophy and methodology in the round pen. Russ will explain the goals in each step and how they will improve your relationship and your communication with your horse.
- Step # 1 – Teach your horse to go forward consistently in the left & right direction
- Step # 2 – Extended Touch
- Step # 3 – Teach your horse to stop and face you from the left & right direction
- Step # 4 – Ask your horse to turn inside from the left & right direction
- Step # 5 – Ask your horse to turn outside from the left & right direction
Session Two
Participants will be involved in an innovative human to human interactive seminar and practice the first five steps of Kozak Horsemanship philosophy and methodology in the round pen. Each participant will learn to apply consistent cues, learn body language and voice commands in the round pen in order to improve coordination, balance and communication in this innovative human to human interactive seminar.
Session Three
Participants will practice the first five steps of Kozak Horsemanship philosophy & methodology in the round pen with Russ Krachun’s demonstration horse and will receive supportive coaching from Russ Krachun for better understanding of the methods.
Day Two – (Nov 26/17)
Session One
Russ Krachun will review the first 5 steps of Kozak Horsemanship philosophy and methodology in the round pen and review the goals in each step and how they will improve your relationship and your communication with your horse.
Session Two
Participants will practice the first five steps of Kozak Horsemanship philosophy & methodology in the round pen with their own horses and will receive supportive coaching from each other under the guidance of Russ Krachun to ensure understanding of the methods.
Session Three
Participants will continue to practice the first five steps of Kozak Horsemanship philosophy & methodology in the round pen with their horses as well as practice with each other’s horses under the guidance of Russ Krachun to ensure better understanding of the methods and learn how to apply the methods and interact with different horse personalities.
